I love to learn from the Nordics
The Nordic region is full of thought leaders. They seem to be everywhere, impacting everything from social science to artificial intelligence for the better. Their contributions stimulate others intellectually. They inspire others to consider the progress of humanity as a whole. And they work hard to make sure our future is the brightest it can be.
By learning and sharing their ideas, we increase the odds of making a more meaningful impact on the world around us.
I have learned more truth about the world around me from Nordics than from any other source. Their contributions have allowed me to understand the world in a way I could never have imagined without changing my perspective. And I believe the more people who see the world from their perspective, the better.
Some of my favorite Nordic Voices:
- Max Tegmark – He wrote the book Life 3.0 about artificial intelligence and fights for a safe future for this powerful technology via the Future of Life Institute. He has worked with other leaders such as Elon Musk, Morgan Freeman, and the recently departed Stephen Hawking to create initiatives for global laws regarding AI.
- Anna RosslingRönnlund – The daughter-in-law of Hans Rosling, she co-founded Gapminder and has recently released a book lauded by many world influencers, Factfulness. She also gave a great TED talk on her Dollar Street concept.
What did I learn from this?
Nordics love to share truth and improve humanity as a whole.
